I haven't talked much about Doctor Who, because I tend to enjoy it and find that enjoyment often diminished by discussion, especially in circles that are more negative about Twelve and Steven Moffat than my heart will ever be, but I have indeed been watching and enjoying and loved the finale very much. Anyway, here are some related fanworks I have also enjoyed:

[personal profile] purplefringe has already made a Bill fanvid & it is a truly lovely thing, you will be unsurprised to hear.

[personal profile] selenay has been writing a series of Bill episode tags (for the first few eps, so far) and they're just great. I was trying to think which one in particular to rec, but, really, they're all great.

And, via [personal profile] eve11, who clearly has the best taste in fic:

Love, That Loosener of Limbs by amatalefay (G, 253 words. Bill Potts/Sappho, Twelve.)

“Like, finally here's a poem that isn't just some bloke whining about how a beautiful girl won’t give him sex, and it's basically ‘sweet mother, I’m too gay to do my chores, blame Aphrodite’. Like, honestly? Most relatable thing I’ve read in years.”

Bill meets Sappho.

Tiny but perfect. <3

And The Last Age Should Show Your Heart by Quanna. (G, 1854 words. Missy, brief mentions/cameos of others.)

The Doctor saves the Master, one final time, and gives her the universe to look after in his place.

A post 'the Doctor Falls' AU in which the Doctor dies, and the Master goes on; without hope, without witness, without reward.

What it says; really clever and sharp and a great thing to read following The Doctor Falls.

(I hope you can tell that this is not the sort of post where you tell me things you dislike about DW. If that's what you'd like to do, I recommend instead going to [community profile] who_at_50 instead which is great for proper discussion, squee, grumbling and all the usual sorts of reactions. Consider that my final rec for the day. ;-p)

For [personal profile] a_phoenixdragon in the Fic Commentary Meme, who asked for a commentary on Unrelated (The Loop the Loop to Affinity Remix)

This was a Remix fic, so a lot of it is in reaction to the original fic, in this case [personal profile] scripsi's Sliding Down the Razorblades of Life and other parts of her River/Master series. Doing a Remix is always a slightly different process to other writing - you're responding to someone else's work, so my first move is to skim through my assigned remixee's work to see what jumps out at me. And then, I don't know, I read and read that until something comes. I hesitated over this because to remix something that was part of a series possibly made things a little more complicated than was wise.

So [livejournal.com profile] ravenskyewalker suggested I do some Twelve next, and as it turned out the next icons200 batch of themes suddenly made sense if I considered them in the light of the S8 two-part finale. It was really weird doing new tv, though; I need to get back to the old tv! (What is this shiny stuff, how does it work?)

There are more extras/alternates than usual, because it took me a while to settle on the second Artist's Choice set.

Title: It Ends Tonight (The Last Best Dress Rehearsal)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1419
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor, Delgado Master, Ainley Master, Roberts Master, Professor Yana, Simm Master, Amy Pond, Rory Williams, Clara Oswald, The TARDIS.
Notes/Warnings: Er, comically dark?
Summary: They keep meeting accidentally on purpose. There’s something the Doctor thinks he’s left undone.

For [livejournal.com profile] the_redjay in the 500 Prompts Meme: 355. It ends tonight - Eleven, the Master (DW). (I don't know what happened. I'm pretty sure when I started writing this it was going to be angsty and not "The Doctor tries to execute the Master: the multi-era comedy" but these things happen. To me, at least. I'm sorry. Ish.) Anyway, apparently one Master fic leads to another...

I realised that when I saw people's request, my fic on Teaspoon is very misleading - I must add a disclaimer here that (for various reasons), I actually have whacking great gaps in my Three-era stories I've seen. So if my favourite bits seem lacking, that could be why.

I think I'll have to continue in another post now.

A couple of my TTR stories I haven't linked to yet....

Master Test
(All Ages)
In which the Deadly Assassin and Traken Masters challenge their other selves to restore their evil reputations (after slurs of good behaviour are made in Plot and Loophole).  This is not as easy as it seems.

A very silly story in which the Delgado, Jacobi, Ainley, Roberts and Simm Masters find that being evil is too much like hard work.

A Tale of Two Fashion Houses
(All Ages)
The Movie Master is set on being a fashion designer, he's enlisted the help of the Eliot sisters and a sinister tastefulness is invading the Round.  Wouldn't you know?  Eight and Charley struggle to put things right before anyone other than Harry gets killed.

This one came about due to the fashion designs of the Movie Master in Master Test.  Poor Bea and Evie are now in the Round for good.  I don't know what I was thinking... (Yes, I wrote a brief Who/House of Eliott crossover.  I'm sorry.)
