Even more random than last week. I was going to pick the five previous bookmarks to last week, but they were all to do with my Fourth Doctor recs post, so I thought I'd better mix it up a bit more than that:

The Good, the Bad, and the Hovercrafts by eponymous_rose (All ages, 1814 words. Fourth Doctor, Romana I, K9.) In which various alien entities get held off at the pass, the Doctor and Romana take up jogging, and K-9, to everyone's horror, tells a joke. Lovely, light, humorous piece.

Hourglass by giandujakiss (Multi-fandom timeloops.) And, indeed, need I say more than 'multifandom timeloops vid'?

The Way Back by Meadowlark (All ages, 3942 words. First Doctor, Steven Taylor.) After witnessing the Massacre of St. Bartholomew's Eve, Steven is disillusioned with life with in the TARDIS and vows to give it up. But when he's compelled to stay, the Doctor offers him an unexpected olive branch. Pitch-perfect fic to round out why Steven chooses to stay after all.

The Doctor Meets a Fantastic Beast by Kass (G, 892 words. Eleventh Doctor, Newt Scamander, Amy Pond, Rory Williams.) The Doctor and his companions meet Newt Scamander. Cute crossover with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Soft Jaws, Strong Bite by nonelvis (All ages, 2141 words. Twelfth Doctor/Romana II.) A brief and heartwarming story about the Doctor, Romana, space pirates, and the universe's greatest children's show about prehistoric reptile cyborgs. What it says, and also with bonus pirates.

Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2! Here's hoping you're continuing to recover well - and having a marvellous day! ♥

I had this 500 prompts fic nearly finished already, as it happened, so it's here doubling up as some sort of birthday fic:

The reveals for Remix Redux 11 have happened, so I can now officially credit AstroGirl with writing the lovely remix of my Belle & Rumple OUaT drabble. And I had the exciting (and slightly terrifying) privilege of getting to remix one of Livii's fics, which is this:

Light to Travel By (The Waves of Time Remix) (1296 words) by lost_spook
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Doctor Who (1963), Doctor Who (2005)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: First Doctor, Ninth Doctor, Second Doctor, The Doctor's TARDIS
Additional Tags: Remix
Summary:

When you're a time traveller, sometimes it's hard to tell if it's the past that haunts the present, or the future that haunts the past.

With many thanks to [personal profile] aralias for beta-ing (and saying what needed to be said to make it a fic and not merely a remix ♥). So, my first remix... that was very nice all round, really. (I'll add the fic to Teaspoon presently.)

(And now I'll get back to splattering commentfest banners about the joint. Also, I managed to achieve fic earlier, so \o/ Probably time to go collapse now...)

Title: Breaking the Bounds
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2350
Characters/Pairings: First Doctor/TARDIS, Susan Foreman
Notes/Warnings: Pre-series. None.
Summary: The TARDIS is nothing more than the Doctor’s means of escape – or so he tells himself. Any other thoughts concerning a mere machine would be quite nonsensical, wouldn’t they?

My entry for 1965 in the [livejournal.com profile] dw_50ficathon, October’s TARDIS theme for [livejournal.com profile] who_at_50 and the “runaways” square for [community profile] hc_bingo. With thanks to [livejournal.com profile] eve11 who actually came up with the essential core of this fic and to [livejournal.com profile] persiflage1 for the helpful beta!

Icons I've made but somehow never posted over this past year. Maybe some were even longer ago? Anyway, FINALLY...

Teaser:

Credsit: Textures by [livejournal.com profile] tiger_tyger and [livejournal.com profile] twinstrikeish & probably some others. The usual rules apply: want, take, have, credit. No hotlinking, comments are ♥

I promised there would be more from DWM, and it would be older, didn't I? I'm not planning to do much scanning, but I've been admiring this pic since I got the special nearly 8 years ago. Of course, there are probably lots available via Google images, but don't tell me because then it would be silly of me to have nearly killed my pc scanning this in to share.

I'll try and get onto the meme reveal and answers presently, but [livejournal.com profile] pitry gave me '7, 2 and 14 are locked in a wine cellar - one finds treasure, one gets drunk, and one is planning to escape'.

As the characters in question were the First Doctor, the Eighth Doctor, and Donna Moss from the West Wing, it seemed immediately obvious that Eight would be treasure-hunting, that Donna would be the one trying to find a way out (practical as ever), and, erm, One would be having a nice time, drinking the wine. So, please accept that this is a piece of nonsense, but I had to write it:

Locked In )

I very much doubt there will be actual fic from the rest, but this just... wrote itself before breakfast yesterday.

Title: Five Times the Doctor Got in the Way of Captain Janeway (and One Time They Got Along Just Fine)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook
Word Count: 5444
Rating: All ages
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor, First Doctor, Vicki, Third Doctor, Jo Grant, Ninth Doctor, Eighth Doctor, Charley Pollard, Kathryn Janeway, Chakotay, Tom Paris, Tuvok
Summary: Captain Janeway doesn't think much of time travellers and higher beings who turn up on board her ship. The Doctor doesn't take much notice of prime directives. It's a tea vs coffee thing.

I wrote this for the [livejournal.com profile] dw_straybunnies October Prompt of the Month. I don't know whether it's more ridiculous that I randomly picked my own prompt, that I ended up writing for it, that I was right up against the deadline, or that I didn't even exactly keep to the prompt. (It was just I had a sudden, entertaining vision of if lots of people wrote the prompt and Janeway was repeatedly confronted by versions of the Doctor lecturing her on time travel, and then there was a plot bunny bounding about...)

Anyway, I'm always happy to wind up writing multi-era nonsense. Already on Teaspoon (I was literally fighting the deadline last night - no time for LJ posts... Or watching Downton Abbey, darn the thing. Will be watching that very shortly!)

Story: The Rime on the Spray
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook
Rating: All ages / PG
Word Count: WIP
Characters/Pairings: First Doctor, Ben Jackson, Polly
Warnings: None.

Summary: Out on a wintry moor, the TARDIS crew encounter a lone traveller and a mysterious tower.

While not truthfully written for [livejournal.com profile] stellastars's birthday (I actually wrote pretty much all of the longhand version in late November, after the first hard frost, which seems amusing now), the thought that fic involving Ben and Polly might be a nice offering did make me join in the latest round of [livejournal.com profile] fic_rush and finish Part One last night. :-D

Currently still waiting approval on Teaspoon, so be patient.

In honour of the day. (And, yes, this has been posted on [livejournal.com profile] dw100 and also on Teaspoon, so nobody has to comment, but it seemed appropriate).

Someone wrote me a story! The [livejournal.com profile] tardis_gen fic from my prompt is up and I am so pleased. Check it out here.

I have to say I was a little worried, because, despite the rubbish I write sometimes, I am picky about stuff and especially about historical things. Like names and words and...

But this tale of Vicki, Steven and the First Doctor and a lot of old-fangled vehicles is just lovely and I'm so glad I asked and got. Historical stories are in short supply and stories with these three even less frequent. Thank you, anonymous good fairy!

I wrote a Christmas story!  From a randomiser prompt, which gave me First Doctor/Tegan + Shopping.  What else could I do?
